Holiday Homes

Sri Lanka, Kochchikade

Journey impressions

„Punchi Rome“ is Singhalese and stands for little Rome.

Our two houses are located in Kochikade, a little fisher village north of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. The Singhalese call the nearby village Negombo Punchi Rome, because the majority of people living there are Roman Catholic. This is not very common in Sri Lanka, because in other regions most of the people are Buddhist or Hindu.

The idea occured us during a holiday in Sri Lanka in 2005. Two good friends and former workmates from Sri Lanka struck on the idea of investing in Sri Lanka tourism and so we kicked of this project.

We hope that especially after the tsunami catastrophe, we are able to create new working places. Additionally we wanted to build up room for the individual tourism, to give our visitors a different view into the land and the people living there. We hope that with us some of your dreams of relaxation and great adventure will come true.
